Grace Johnson mentions Dakota with Vanity Fair

Last May, the curiosity of the fashion press awoke when she accompanied her sister Dakota to the MET gala and, although she showed off her Gucci style, what she really would like is to be behind the cameras, since her true passion is photography. "It was my sister Dakota who advised me to start on this side of the camera, probably as an exercise to understand the world of fashion photography from the perspective of its protagonists," she once told Vogue Spain.

New BTS Picture of Dakota with Zack Gottsagen and Shia Labeouf on "The Peanut Butter Falcon" Set

Don Johnson mentions Dakota in New Interviews

How did you feel when your daughter Dakota said that she wanted to act?

Don: That’s a story in itself. I didn’t know that she wanted to do it. She hadn’t shared that with us. So she’s 18, I think, at the time and I’m going: “OK, I’ll just keep my eye on her and reach out and catch her.” Ha ha, that’s the last I saw of Dakota. She has the goods. She’s a wonderful actress, and in some ways better than her mother [Melanie Griffith] and me.

How do you get on with Dakota’s boyfriend, Coldplay’s Chris Martin?

Don: He’s a lovely man, I’ll tell you that. But it’s not my place; they have their own thing. It would be like asking Chris Martin: “How’s Don’s relationship with his wife?”

From The Sunday Telegraph’s Stellar Magazine:

Don Johnson: Of course I’m her father, but I can also recognize talent when I see it. She's one of the most gifted actresses alive today.

Rumor: Dakota will be part of new movie "Crackpot"

Deadline: Certainly this one draws the crème de la crème of each awards season, with stars and filmmakers flying in to be part of it as being seen here is considered very important for a nascent Oscar campaign. If you work the room before and after the main event you can always pick up interesting tidbits. Dakota Johnson, there with her Peanut Butter Falcon co-stars, told me she plans to do a movie for Elaine May, a recent Tony winner who is getting behind the camera again at age 86 to direct Johnson in a movie called Crackpot.
