New Interview of Dakota with L’Officiel México

Translated by us

What was your first experience with Gucci?

Dakota: The first time I went to the LACMA gala a few years ago. On that occasion I met Alessandro Michele - creative director of the firm-. I was very nervous because I knew what being there meant; He approached me and we began to talk, and that is where the idea of starring in the Bloom perfume campaign came up. An incredible moment in my career.

Do you remember what you were wearing at the LACMA gala?

Dakota: I don't remember how my dress was, what I do remember is that I decided to comb my hair and do my make up as I usually do every day. I still don't know if it was a success or a faux pas.

How would you describe Gucci Bloom?

Dakota: Intrinsic, mystic and enveloping.

UPDATED: New Fan Pictures of Dakota in in Fairhope, Alabama today [February 16th, 2019]

Story from AL.Com:  [...] Saturday afternoon, Segel returned to Sage, this time joined by Johnson and Affleck and the actresses who are portraying the Teagues’ daughters in the film. They spent more than an hour at the restaurant, enjoying hummus, tabbouleh, falafel and other Lebanese dishes.

Johnson noticed the photos on the wall of actors Liam Hemsworth and Vince Vaughn, who also ate at Sage and posed for photos with the Salibis when they were in town in October filming the movie “Arkansas.” “She said she wants to be on the wall, too,” Sage says, noting that Johnson is “a natural beauty” who wasn’t wearing any makeup.

New Interview of Dakota with Instyle

Some people have a really personal connection to fragrance. They wear one scent, and they wear that one scent for the rest of their lives. Others are trying something new all the time. What method do you follow when it comes to fragrance?

Dakota: I stick to the same scents. My olfactory is very strong, so I remember people by the way they smell. Places, people’s homes. It evokes a lot of memories and emotion in me. My mother has always smelled the same, and I find it really beautiful. I find scent a very personal thing. There’s also times where people will wear a certain scent, and I have to leave the room.

There’s a smell that always reminds me of my grandmother, and it wakes me up when I smell it. What’s one particular scent that evokes a strong memory for you?

Dakota: I think it’s my mother’s perfume. It’s a funny thing, but whenever I see her, she always smells the same, so I kind of feel immediately cozy and safe.

New Interview of Dakota with Los Angeles Times

Dakota Johnson emerged from the balcony of a hotel room inside the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood. The “Fifty Shades of Grey” star was impeccably dressed and looked statuesque clad in a black Gucci blouse and A.P.C. jeans.

With her Anastasia Steele-Christian Grey days behind her with last winter’s release of “Fifty Shades Freed,” Johnson closed 2018 by starring in the much-buzzed-about horror film “Suspiria.” The latter movie was directed by Luca Guadagnino, and rumors have been swirling for months that Johnson might appear in the director’s sequel to his 2017 Academy Award-nominated film, “Call Me by Your Name.”

“Working with Luca is one of the most precious parts of my life,” she said, calling the experience of reteaming with him a joy after they had collaborated on “A Bigger Splash” in 2015. “Working with him is a real gift because I can sometimes feel really discouraged in this industry. … Like, who can you really trust? And I really trust him.”

Johnson, daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson, is also developing a number of entertainment projects, including Taylor Jenkins Reid’s “Forever, Interrupted” and the Amazon historical drama “Unfit” under her production company, Silhouette Productions.

New Project: Dakota to start in "The Friend"

"The Friend," is a movie based on Matthew Teague's essay, "The Friend: Love is Not a Big Enough Word," which was published in the May 2015 issue of Esquire magazine.

The essay details Nicole’s death -Matthew's wife- from ovarian cancer and how the couple’s best friend, Dane Faucheux, quit his job and left his life in New Orleans to help Matthew care for Nicole and the girls in Fairhope. According to what has been said by author and executive producer Matthew Teague, Dakota will play Nicole, Matthew's wife, who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She was 36 years old when she died in September of 2014, two years after she was diagnosed.

From Deadline and Collider:

Pic is produced by Scott Free’s Kevin Walsh, Michael Pruss & Ryan Stowell, alongside Black Bear’s Teddy Schwarzman. Ridley Scott will be executive producer along with Black Bear’s Ben Stillman and Michael Heimler. Ingelsby, Teague and Ted Deiker will also be exec producers.

“I’m thrilled and honored to see the story come to life this way, thanks to the filmmaking vision of Gabriela Cowperthwaite and a script that Brad Ingelsby and I worked on closely together. It captures what’s at the heart of the story: deep love and loss, and the saving grace of friendship,” said Matthew Teague. “To have the talents of Dakota Johnson, Jason Segel and Casey Affleck help the story live on is remarkable. And I’m grateful to Scott Free and Black Bear, who have been both passionate and sensitive from day one. I hope the story gives people an honest glimpse of what it means to face mortality, and the value of having a true friend at your side, when that moment comes.”
