Dakota has a cameo in "The Nowhere Inn", starring St. Vicent

Confirmed by @IndieWire, Dakota has a small part in #TheNowhereInn playing St. Vicent's girlfriend, and it seems like her character is based on Kristen Stewart.

How St. Vincent and Carrie Brownstein Convinced Dakota Johnson to Make a Cameo in ‘The Nowhere Inn’

(They talk about Dakota's part at 6:54)

Source: The group’s critical views of awards and accolades doesn’t diminish their desire for recognition when it comes to “The Nowhere Inn,” though. Benz joked that they welcome any prizes on behalf of the film, which also features a Dakota Johnson cameo, as herself, in a hotel room.

In the film, St. Vincent begs Brownstein’s character to shoot a sensual scene of her and Johnson, both clad in matching lingerie, with her iPhone. Clark explained how they got Johnson to sign on to the project, referring to the actor as “a really great sport for what was a very strange ask.”

“I think it was originally, like, ‘Dakota will you play my girlfriend?'” Clark said.

“It wasn’t like, ‘Will you put on lingerie and come hang out?'” Brownstein added.

Review of the movie from IndieWire below:

Source: It’s hard to pinpoint the exact moment when St. Vincent takes full control of “The Nowhere Inn,” but it’s somewhere around the moment she decides to roll around on a hotel bed in lingerie with her onscreen girlfriend, Dakota Johnson — forcing a mortified Brownstein to film the whole thing on an iPhone, while she begs for an intimacy coordinator — and a choreographed sequence in which she roams backstage with the camera just behind her shoulder, speeding toward a screaming crowd, while Brownstein begs her to get real. St. Vincent turns back, bathed in neon red, a guitar strapped to her shoulder and a look of contentment on her face. “I love you baby,” she says, “but I’m married to the road.” That’s the rock star ethos in a nutshell — and the essence of her plight.

I’m in L.A., too.

JOHNSON: Me too!

SIGISMONDI: That’s really funny.

JOHNSON: I’ve seen so many of your videos, and I just directed a music video, my first one. I’m very honored to hear that you even know who I am.

I would love that.

Antonio Banderas mentions Dakota with US Weekly Magazine

“She was 5 when I met her, when she became my family,” the actor, 59, told Us Weekly exclusively on Thursday, January 2, at the Palm Springs International Film Festival’s Film Awards Gala. “I almost changed her nappies. She’s my daughter, I love her. I’ve been with her on my shoulders, traveling all around the world.”

The Pain and Glory star, who was married to Johnson’s mom, Melanie Griffith, from 1996 to 2014, gushed about the Fifty Shades of Grey star’s decision to attend the Hollywood Film Awards with him in November. “It was very, very beautiful, very emotional to hear that all of those years, I still mean [so much] to her,” Banderas said. “So it was very, very special.”
