New Interview of Dakota with AOL about "Fifty Shades Freed"
When Dakota Johnson spoke to AOL Entertainment over the phone during a recent "Fifty Shades Freed" promotional tour stop in Paris, she began the conversation by bringing up the latest wild news story making headlines.
"Did you see this thing about Homeland Security papers being left on a plane?" she asked, referring to the Super Bowl anti-terrorism documents that were, well, left on a plane.
"I have," I responded with a nervous laugh. "Reading the news between interviews, I assume?"
"Reading the news and also [thinking], What the f-ck is going on?" Johnson replied. "I think people are so freaked out by the world that they’re losing their minds -- especially me."
Au contraire! Throughout our interview, the actress could not have been more thoughtful, self-aware and open as she was. Johnson, unapologetic in her both her willingness to be picky about who she works with and her decision to largely forgo social media for the sake of her mental health, continues to learn more and more about herself and her abilities with every project she takes on, and that excites her.

New Dakota's Interview with ELLE about "Fifty Shades Freed"
Fans will be happy to see Christian and Ana's ice cream scene. It was in the second book, but wasn't in the second movie. Can you tell me about filming that one?
Dakota: That was an added scene. We didn’t shoot it originally when we were filming, we shot it afterwards when we were filming re-shoots, so it was kind of funny to go away for a year and then come back and shoot just two days of pick-up shots. It was an added moment, but it was fun.
Is it actually ice cream?
Dakota: Yes, it was ice cream, but I’m allergic to dairy—so it was dairy-free coconut ice cream or something.
So it wasn’t Ben & Jerry’s after all.
Dakota: Oh no, it wasn’t—that was movie magic.

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson
She is the daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson, who has made a name for herself in the movie industry. He is a happily married father-of-one who isn't scared of playing complex and dark characters. Together, Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan, they form one of the hottest on-screen couple: Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey. Prestige sat down with both of them to talk about their real-life friendship, their respective characters and filming the third movie of the Fifty Shades series, Fifty Shades Freed, out on the 8th of February across Lebanon.
Now that the third and last movie of the Fifty Shades series is completed, how do you feel?
Dakota: I feel nostalgic, grateful for the experience and excited for the future.
How was the last day on set?
Dakota: It was very surreal, we had worked all night and were waiting for the sun to come out for the last shot, but it seemed like it never would! We were waiting and waiting...and then finally we got the shot and it was a beautiful morning.
After Anastasia reconnects with Christian in the second film, but under her terms, how does their relationship evolve now in Fifty Shades Freed?
Dakota: I think that in this film both Anastasia and Christian have figured out that it's going to be a constant flux of control and power between both of them. But, because they have decided to get married, they have made a conscious decision to honor each other and focus on their relationship as something that has a life of its own. That way, no outside influence or threat can tarnish it. That being said, Anastasia has acknowledged and accepted the more sexual and dominating side of herself, which is a driving force in the film.

Interview translated by Us
- Dakota, now that the third film from the series "50 shades" is completed, how do you feel?
Dakota: I feel nostalgic, grateful for the experience and excited about the expectation of an unknown future.
- How was your last day of shooting?
Dakota: In fact, it was a night shift ... In the morning we waited for the dawn to remove the final shots. It seemed that this will never happen! The wait was tiring, but when we saw the sun, the morning was beautiful.
- In the last film, Anastasia joined Christian. How are their relations developing now, into "Fifty Shades Freed"?
Dakota: Anastasia and Christian decided that the connection between them will be eternal. They are a mirror image of each other. Therefore, these two lovers decided to get married, and to this they came quite consciously - this will give the couple an opportunity to focus on their own feelings. It seems to them that in this way no external influence or threat can overshadow their happiness. At the same time Anastasia took a more sexual and dominant side of herself, which is the driving force in the film.
