While promoting his new animated family flick The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water this weekend, the 54-year-old actor revealed he feels "no competition" with his soon-to-be former step-daughter, even though their films will be in theaters at the same time.
"First of all, we have exactly the opposite type of audiences, for obvious reasons," Banderas told E! News. "So the competition is not going to be between the movies. I wish Dakota the best, not only because of this movie. I know the expectations of these movies are enormous but we know—every member of the family, brother, sister, real father—that she's a good actress."
Banderas added, "I think she's going to have a fantastic career because actually she can play many different turfs. She's a great comedy actress, she showed that when she did this television show Ben & Kate. And then she's a very good dramatic actress too as she's showing in the other movie. This is a great opportunity for her and I know that she's going to take it."
Thanks to 1.
